Annual APY Lands Permit Due

APY Permits are only valid for one Financial Year.

The end of this financial year is fast approaching. To assist APY Permits Officer in processing permits for the financial year 2019-2020, APY would like to remind everyone to complete your Permit application for the New Financial Year 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020 by the 1 June 2019.

Please review your requirements for your staff/contractor Permit/s and forward your 2019-2020 Permit application combine with the individual Police Criminal History check by 1 June 2019.  Should you have staff that you are not aware of at the time please send the permit through as soon as practicable thereafter, or throughout the year ahead.

APY holds the responsibility under the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Land Rights Act Sec 6 Pt 1 (a), (b) & (c), to protect the Interests of Anangu on the APY Lands, by assessing anyone that wishes to use, occupy or enter the Lands, granting them permission or otherwise refusing permission, to enter the APY Lands. All Contractors, Employees and Visitors to the APY Lands must fill in a Permit application appropriate to their needs for example, Media, Research or General and provide as much detail as possible for APY to complete an assessment of the application.

All applicants must send in a Criminal History Police check at your cost.

If anyone enters the Lands without a Permit, a $2,000 Fine applies, with $500 Fine per day thereafter if on the lands.
